Let's Bake Cookies at Midnight
Don't ask about the title of this post. Let's just say we had a craving.. The cookies didn't turn out.. like at all. They tasted like salt and eggs (ew). But we still had fun regardless :)

Saturdays..
Today was a great day. We woke up early this morning to go out for breakfast.. it was delicious. We went out shopping and then came home for a nap. We had an amazing supper, cooked by an amazing cook ;) (my father). I love days like today. I love being lazy. And I love spending time with the people I love. Look at that face ^ What's not to love, right? ;)
This picture sums up our relationship.
I can't stop eating these. I must put on at least 10 pounds at Easter. (And it's not even Easter yet)
Well, this is awkward.
Home Decor Inspiration
Hey there! So, I've been spending a TON of time on Pintrest (it's my addiction). And even though I don't own my own house, I can't wait until I do. There are so many good ideas on there.. Here are a few of my favourite pins. PS: If you have Pintrest, follow me!

How To Make a Bunting Banner
Okay, so I've been spending a lot of time on Pintrest lately.. and a few weeks ago I came across this fabric bunting idea. I have no idea why I never thought of doing this before. It's so cute and SO easy!
This is what you'll need:
- 2 to 5 different fabrics of your choice
- a triangular piece of cardboard 15cm on each long side by 8cm (or however large you want your flags)
- a highlighter or something to mark with
- fabric scissors
- twine or yarn (elastics are representing the twice in this photo. don't ask)
- fabric glue (if you'd rather that than using a needle and thread)
- needle and thread
Step 1: Use the triangular piece of cardboard to trace onto the fabric.
Step 2: Line up the flags and start using a needle and thread to attach the flags to the twine/yarn
Like I said this is super easy to do, even if you have no idea how to use a needle and thread. I don't recommend using a fabric glue unless your absolutely certain that it'll work. Thanks for reading!
A Peek Inside My Bedroom
I read a lot of blogs.. and I've found that it's quite interesting to see what other people's rooms look like (Is that creepy?). Anyway, here is my bedroom. This is where I spend most of my time, whether I'm doing homework (right...) playing with my cats, or blogging, this is where I am. I really think my room is finally starting to come together the way I'd like it. I absolutely love how bright and airy it is.. and I try to incorporate as much colour as possible. I hope you all enjoy my space!
Lazy Sick Day
I don't know about you guys... But when I'm sick I spend the entire day in bed, half asleep, dreaming of food. I'm just kidding, of course. But seriously, whenever I'm sick all I do is sleep and eat, sleep and eat. Today I was feeling so sick I didn't even eat, I took pictures of other people's food. Sounds like me, right?
My dad made some peanut butter today in our Vitamix (very handy machine). It turned out surprisingly well, and I don't think anyone in this house will be buying bulk-barn peanut butter anymore.
You can tell cats live here.
Five DIY's I'd Like To Try
Stressful Times
Hello fellow bloggers, today I feel like talking about something I wouldn't usually talk about. It's not because I don't like to be honest with all of you and share things that happen in my life, it's just that some things are better off unsaid. Know what I mean?
Gosh, where do I begin..
Something that I've always wanted to do is own my very own animal. But ever since seven-or-so years ago, my dream was to own a horse. And my dream came true, almost two years ago now. We (my twin sister and I) purchased a horse with our best friend. His name is Simba. A seventeen hand-high Belgian Appaloosa gelding, for those of you horsey people out there. For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about.. he's huge, and full of white spots. Here's a picture of our big beauty the day we first met him.
The minute we met this handsome guy, we knew we'd never part with him. And we owned him with our best friend, what could be better? It was so much fun. We spent every spare moment bugging our parents to take us to the barn. We would be there every single day, regardless of whether it was a blizzard outside, or pouring rain. We loved him so much. He was our first horse after all.. and he was everything we hoped he would be. The first thing we noticed was that he was going to be a HUGE pain in the ass.. But his personality is what made us fall in love with him. He's a giant pony. (And again, for those of you non-horsey people, he's a big stubborn mule who loves to get on your last nerve. That's what ponies are like). He's so sweet though.. and so gentle, for being such a big boy.
A week after we got him to our barn, (well the place we were boarding) and all of his tack came in, we were riding nonstop. He was a joy to ride.. so smooth and responsive. We spent about a year just going out the three of us to see him and ride. Then, my sister stopped riding. She claimed that she had lost interest in riding. But she still loved horses, and still wanted to spend time with Simba. After about a year, we left our barn. We found a place that was more convenient, and much--much cleaner. We moved there, just this past fall. It was incredible when we first moved. We were all so excited to have a fresh, new start. We knew Simba would love it there. And he did. On a side note, my sister and I are both in grade 12. It's been pretty stressful. We've been trying to get the highest averages possible, and get into university. We both want to get into the sciences, so it's been tough.. really difficult classes. Especially for mathisnotmyfavorite students. Anyway, back to the point. This busy-ness lead to less time spent with Simba. We started going only once a week, some weeks not at all. Our best friend however, she kept going two to three times a week to see him. So of course, she felt alone in this partnership.

Long story short-- this is where we're at right now.. with almost no spare time to spend at the barn right now, it's only bound to get worse next year. My sister and I are both headed to university in the fall, and our best friend is staying here for college.. So this leaves Simba. We have no idea what to do. We can't leave her alone to own and take care of a horse all by herself while going to college. Selling Simba is the last thing I'd like to do.. We've discussed half-leasing him, but we just can't agree on anything. I just really wish we didn't have to decide on anything. Either way, we loose him. That's the last thing I want.. So this is why I've been stressed, and I figured I would tell you all. Thanks for listening.
